What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a health profession concerned with the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of disease and disability through physical means. If you suffer from Back or Neck Pain, Sports Injury, Arthritis, – in fact, any Joint, Muscle and Neurological problem – Physiotherapy can help relieve your pain and get you moving again.

Making that first phone call?

Choose the center that is near your location or is more convenient for you and remember to come 10 minutes earlier so you can fill out our forms.

What to bring?

– If you have a MRI or CT scan please don’t forget to bring them along or a relevant medical history.

What to wear?

We may need to ask you to get partially undress in order to do a full assessment or treatment. You may feel more comfortable in loose fitting; easily removed clothing and some patients usually bring shorts with them. We also have towels to keep you covered.

Do I need a referral or to see doctor first?

Ideally, you should visit a physician first, so he / she can assess whether you need physiotherapy or not.

What does physiotherapist do?

Our physiotherapist will look at your individual situation using more a hand on treatment. As well as treating the problem, they may also suggest things you can do on a daily basis to help relieve pain and discomfort.

How long is each treatment?

The first consultation usually takes up to 45 minutes and the sub sequence up to 30 minutes, depending on your condition.

Is it painful?

Our physiotherapy mainly physical means such as exercise, manipulation, mobilization, massage and some electrical machine to help patients achieve their full potential. The treatment may be painful and you might feel some mild discomfort, especially if the area being worked on is sore.

How many treatments should I need?

Each person or case are different, your therapist will be able to let you know how many treatments you will need after your first initial assessment.

Physiotherapy can help you reach your potential goals but only you, yourself that can maintain it thru a healthy diet and exercise. Our therapist can help you with what type of exercise to make you stronger and to prevent the injury of coming back.
