WHAT IS SPORT THERAPY?
Sports therapy is a type of deep tissue massage that stimulates circulation of blood and lymph fluids. It is used not only by athletes (professional and amateur), but also by many non-sporting individuals, such as mothers who carry children and office workers who sit long hours in front of the computer.
SPORTS THERAPY CAN BE USED IN THE TREATMENT OF:
Specific injuries, such as hamstring strains,
Helping correct muscle imbalances, strained, overused muscles and postural issues

TYPES OF SPORT THERAPY
Pre-event Sports Therapy
15-45 minutes before the event. It is directed toward the parts of the body that will be involved in the exertion.
Post-event Sports Therapy
Given within an hour or two of the event, to normalize the body’s tissues.
Restorative Sports Therapy
Given during training to allow the athlete to train harder and with less injury.
Rehabilitative Sports Therapy
It’s aimed at alleviating pain due to injury and returning the body to health.
